Well it is winter however no one told the billfish apparently. After a great general meeting on Tuesday night the race to the finish line between Misty, Catapult and Reel Capture went up a gear through to the weekend until the weather interfered.
For the week Reel Capture top scored with 12 Sailfish & 2 Black Marlin over Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, Misty also had an impressive week with 11 Sailfish & Black Marlin including a recapture previously tagged by One Way. Several Yellowfin, Longtail and Wahoo have been mixed in for a little extra excitement.
Catapult and Jim Bob have also been amongst them in a very tight finish to the season. After nearly 25 years in the club I struggle to remember a more exciting finish and it’s great to see the membership encouraging and enjoying the competitive spirit between the 3 boats.
